Pickleball is kind of like "tiny tennis"... except it's a lot easier to play, a lot more forgiving on your knees, ankles, shoulders, etc. And it's really, REALLY FUN!!
It’s also the fastest growing sport in America, played by over 3 million people of all ages! Here’s a short video that explains the basics:
Hi, my name is Patrick Sullivan Jr. I’m the Co-founder & CEO of Jigsaw Health, and I’m a Pickleball Addict. :)
My wife (and business partner) -- Ashley & I -- stumbled into Pickleball in the Summer of 2018. We’ve been hooked ever since. Here's a selfie of the two of us at the PPA Georgia Open.
Pickleball has been an unbelievably FUN "life-enhancer" for us. It’s a great form of exercise, and we’ve met some amazing new friends on this journey!
Pickleball takes about 15 minutes to learn, and a lifetime to master. And while athleticism & agility certainly help a Pickleballer, because of the “kitchen,” Pickleball is more technique driven than just sheer athleticism. Perhaps that’s why it’s such an addictive game?
Retired tennis and racquetball players are taking to Pickleball especially quickly. Senior living communities around the world are building Pickleball courts at a rapid rate, but they can barely keep up with the demand! (Image Source: Getty Images, from AARP “Play Pickleball for Health Benefits”)
Pickleball Is Sweeping The Nation
Two top Pickleball Pros -- Lucy Kovalova & Tyson McGuffin -- were on the Today Show in the summer of 2019 teaching Lester and the gang how to play...
Pickleball: A Fun Game For All Ages
One of the best things about Pickleball is that it really is a game for all ages. And while it’s predominantly been played by seniors, the Pickleball Pro circuit is blasting off like a rocket ship!
Watch this video of top female pros in an amazing 64-shot rally during the gold medal match of the 2019 Las Vegas Open (Simone Jardim & Corrine Carr vs. Jesse Irvine & Catherine Parenteau at the 20:54 mark):
Resources for Getting Started with Pickleball
First, you’ll need a paddle. Browse PickleballCentral.com for a list of Pickleball Paddles for beginners.
Second, you’ll need a place to play. Download the Pickle Play app to find Pickleball (courts and Pickleballers) in your local community.
Once you catch the “Pickleball bug,” you’ll most likely want / need some help learning how to improve your game. The following video -- Doubles Pickleball Strategy 101 by Joe Baker -- helped me go from Beginner to an Intermediate player. Just knowing where to stand on the court is critical for improving your game. (WARNING: The video is very dry… you might feel like you’re back in a 7th grade Social Studies class. But the content Joe Baker created is absolute GOLD!)

How / Why is Jigsaw Health involved in Pickleball?
Once my wife, Ashley & I began playing Pickleball regularly, we learned firsthand that it can be a very physically demanding sport. Cramping is an especially common problem for Pickleballers…
But did you know there are actually two types of muscle cramps? That’s right. When you cramp up during physical activity, that’s because your body is low in Potassium. And when you wake up in the middle of the night grasping your legs? That's because your body is low in Magnesium.
Jigsaw Pickleball Cocktail™ contains both Potassium and Magnesium to help you stay hydrated, energized, and cramp-free on (and off) the courts.
It’s FUN To Feel Good
Our motto at Jigsaw Health: It's FUN to feel good.
And our mission: To help Pickleball Addicts play "just one more game," 5 or 6 more times! ;-)
We’re excited to support Pickleballers -- and the growth of Pickleball -- around the world…
- Jigsaw Health is the official hydration & nutrition sponsor of two Pro Pickleball Tours, the PPA & the APP.
- We’re the title title sponsor of the Tournament of Champions in 2021!
- And we’re sponsoring several of the top Pro Pickleballers, including Ben Johns, Simone Jardim, Lucy Kovalova, Matt Wright, Irina Tereschenko, Catherine Parenteau, and Joey Farias. In typical Jigsaw fashion, we’ve begun making some FUN commercials with these Pros. Here’s one example featuring Lucy Kovalova, who was also in the Today Show video I posted above…
Here's a playlist of all the Jigsaw Health Pickleball videos we've made so far. If you’re new to Pickleball, they might feel like “inside jokes”...Once you start playing and you're in the bubble, you’ll probably find them hilarious! :)
Are You Ready To Go Play Pickleball?
If you’ve been a Jigsaw Health customer for a long time, but you’ve never played Pickleball, I hope this article encourages you to pick up a paddle and go find out for yourself just how fun this “game-with-a-silly-name” can be.
I look forward to seeing you on a Pickleball court some time soon!! =)
Wishing you wellness,
